Needful Things - Stephen King

Just got a bit past where I reached reading as a kid. It feels just as good a book this time around, and I was a bit astounded by how many of the details I remembered. On the other side, there was this vivid image that even while in my mind, I'd somehow disassociated from this volume. Also, it's so... dark. Not more than most King's, it's just... I must have been a blood-thirsty kid, or some things went over my head, or maybe children really do process things different, those little monsters. I'm feeling like going for Firestarter and The Shining again after this one to corroborate.
