Gone with the Wind - Margaret Mitchell

This bonnet scene. I know I'm verging on spamming, but it's amazing what a bit of nuance can give a whole different impression. In the movie, Scarlett comes even in her exchanges with Rhett, which I guess is what makes all their dialogues so great. In the book though, it's very plain that she has 20 years and a lot of experience of disadvantage. The fact that even though she had the inclination Rhett's influence twists her is there too. It's a bit ironic he helped to make her.
