Under the Dome - Stephen King

People are dropping like flies.


Sure, I'm a third into this mammoth, but it's been little over 48 hours, most people haven't really worked out how fucked up they are, so it's not panicky hoarding wars or anything like that yet. Just the plain old "when the cat is not around" (and a good dose of small-town infrastructural failure).


It's freaking terrifying, because the dome itself is not really causing any trouble yet (just started seeing the longer term consequences), beyond cutting communication. It is, as always with King, the human element that brings the horror.
