City of Fallen Angels - Cassandra Clare

There is a lot that I can let pass while reading a leisure best seller. It can be cliche driven, utterly formulaic, completely devoid of substance, and filled with hollow characters and so forth. I'm into all that when I'm looking for disconnecting fun.

Being BORED by it though, is absolutely unforgivable. I'd kill time studying if that's what I was looking for. Or cleaning. Memorizing a dictionary.

I won't finish it. I decided to take a break off 2 thirds in, hoping that a bit of time would make the sick of silly angst go away. One month later, I haven't neither continued, nor read ANYTHING ELSE. It got me stuck, and I resent that. I'm summarily dropping it.

So, this was a total waste of my time. I'm running out of superlatives to explain how much this book is placed squarely on the FAIL column. I recommend avoidance.
